“A healthier lifestyle ultimately makes me more creative and allows me to think more cohesively” ~ Jack Dorsey, CEO, Twitter
Dorsey has been able to build a consistent routine. Doing the same thing each day is a bit challenging, but he puts his best effort to be stub on his daily regimen.
This routine enables him to be effective when he has to deal with situations that get out of hand. Saturdays are for hikes while Sunday is the time for reflections, feedback, strategy and getting ready for the rest of the week.
Sweat hard to get large
He likes his squats and push-ups in gym. In the mornings, Dorsey is seen on the road jogging or by himself meditating. And on Saturdays, he prefers a good hike to stay active. Dorsey believes the most worthwhile investment he’s ever made is “taking the time to walk to work every day.”
During the five-mile trek he doesn’t email or text. He uses the time to listen to music and audio books or simply to think and draw inspiration from the streets of San Francisco, the self-made billionaire unplugs.
Meditation a daily ritual
The early birds will inherit the earth.
Part of his “consistent routines” includes waking up early at 5 a.m., meditating for 30 minutes, and doing a seven-minute workout three times. He makes sure to wrap up before getting his morning caffeine and breakfast. Dorsey reportedly ends his day at 11 p.m.
Role of Nutrition
He went on Paleo diet a couple years ago. Dorsey believes that Paleo diet is a great way to cut out the extra processed, grain, and dairy products from your diet. Paleo diet is a nutritional approach that works with your genetics to help you stay lean, strong and healthy.
This slim and successful CEO also stays away from negative calories and prefers lemon water over alcohol, except red wine, on the weekdays.
